Good News from 10th Hong Kong Group Scouts

Group Scout Leader of the 10th Group awarded the Bronze Lion

Mr. Au-Yeung Ho Wing Herbert, Group Scout Leader of the 10th Hong Kong Group, was awarded the “Bronze Lion”, at the Hong Kong Scout Rally, which was held at Hong Kong Stadium on 27 November 2022.

The Bronze Lion is awarded to Uniformed Adult Members of the Scout Association of Hong Kong in recognition of further exemplary service of the most exceptional character rendered to the Association.

Venture Scout MOK Pak Hei Bryan selected as Scout of the Year

Venture Scout Mok Pak Hei Byran (6A) was awarded the “Scout of the Year”, also at the Hong Kong Scout Rally.

Bryan is the thirteenth “Scout of the Year” of the 10th Hong Kong Group since the inception of the award in 1987. The title is given to scout members who exhibit exceptional service and success in their duties and obligations.

Two 10th Hong Kong Group Scouts achieve the highest awards

The annual scout rally event also saw Mok Pak Hei Byran (6A) presented with the "Chief Scout's Award", the highest award of the Scout Sections.

Apart from earning the Proficiency/Activity Badges for the Pathfinder, Scout Standard, and Advanced Scout Standard Awards, Bryan has consistently displayed exceptional skills and knowledge in a variety of areas, including scoutcraft, adventure, culture, community, health, commitment, social services, and leadership.

He surmounted all obstacles and achieved the highest honor after 5 years of unwavering devotion and steady work, unfazed by the pandemic's delays and hardships.

On the same occasion, Leung Yu Jax (2A) received the “Golden Bauhinia Award”, the highest award of the Cub Scout Section.

Congratulations to Herbert, Bryan and Jax on bringing honour to themselves and to the College.
