Teacher Visits

The College is committed to maximizing the potential of its staff members and staff training is an integral part in the development of the College.

2018/19
 In October 2018, Mr. W. H. Poon participated in the MIT J-WEL Week in Boston, while Mr. K. H. Yuen, and Miss P. S. Chan attended the Week in April 2019.
 In May 2019, Mr. C. L. Wong, Miss W. S. Wong, Miss H. Y. Chan, and Mrs. J. McInnes joined the 16th Annual Hawker Brownlow Thinking & Learning Conference at Melbourne.
 In June 2019, Mr. K. S. Kwok, Mr. W. K. Wong, Mr. H. C. Wu, Miss Y. T. Lo, and Mr. H. Li participated in the MIT J-WEL Exchange in Boston.
 In July 2019, the Principal, Mr. D.Y. Yuen visited the High School Affiliated to Xi'an Jiaotong University.
 In July 2019, Mr. Y. L. Chow, Miss L. L. Chan, Miss S. K. Lam, and Miss I. M. Hui joined a Reading Literacy workshop in Taiwan.
 In August 2019, Mr. K. S. Kwok joined the MITxCIS STEAM Camp at the Chinese International School.
 
2017/18 Mr. Alex Wong attended the International Guidance Counsellors' Conference at the University of Oxford on 23-24 February, 2018. The conference was very informative and covered areas such as the admission process, course choice, personal statements, admissions tests and interviews. It allowed school counsellors from all over the world to network and exchange ideas. The conference also helped counsellors identify the types of students that may be a good fit for Oxford and similar universities in the UK, which is by far the most popular destination for students in our school who wish to further their studies overseas.
 
2014/15 Ms. Michelle Lee, the Head of Visual Arts and Ms. Yuen Wing Yan, Visual Arts teacher and Advisor to the Photography Club were selected to take part in the Savannah College of Art and Design Outreach Education Seminar which was held from 24th January, 2015 to 29th January, 2015 along with four other selected school teachers from Hong Kong. The seminar took place in Savannah and Atlanta in Georgia in the United States. The seminar included facility tours, workshops, and numerous lectures from faculty concerning how to incorporate 21st century skills into high school classrooms.
 
2011/12 A 5-day overseas professional development programme was organised for all Science teachers during the Easter holiday.  Our Science teachers went to visit schools in Singapore to understand more about how science education is conducted in Singapore.  Our teachers had the opportunities to exchange views about curriculum matters and methodology with their counterparts in Singapore.  Both sides agreed on the importance of future exchanges.  Schools visited included Anglican High School, Raffles Institutions, St. Joseph’s Institution and Nangyang Technological University.
