Forms 2 to 5 Parents' and Students' Orientation Session

This morning, we held an orientation session to welcome our new F.2 to F.5 students and their parents. The programme specially designed for the new members of the College family was conducted by Admissions Officer Ms. Janice Chan.

The session began with the Principal, Mr. Dennis Yuen, offering a warm welcome to the students and parents. The Principal also encouraged the newcomers to put in their best effort in the new academic year. He stressed the need for them to take advantage of the many extra-curricular opportunities provided by the College to find and hone their unique skills, talents and passions.

To help the newcomers adjust to a new learning environment, Mr. Alex Wong, Assistant Vice-principal, spoke about the nuts and bolts of studying at SPC for the students on the one hand, and the importance of a strong home-school partnership for the parents on the other. The Discipline Master, the Guidance Mistress and the three school social workers then gave an overview of the various student support resources available on campus.

At the end of the session, the prefects showed the students around campus while the parents participated in a Q&A session. Brief as it was, the orientation was packed with useful information that will help our new students settle in quickly and confidently to life at the College.
