Nicholai Chamber Concert (Sweden) 'The Beauty of the Hippopotamus'

The Music Department of St. Paul’s College is very pleased to announce that the Nicolai Chamber Choir and Varieté Velociped from Sweden will be visiting Hong Kong from the 5^th to the 8^th November, 2012.  Nicolai Chamber Choir, formed in 1974, is attached to the Cathedral of Stockholm, and Varieté Velociped is a three person group specializing in playing on everyday objects, including bicycles, glasses and bottles, and making beautiful music out of them. It is great honor for the College to be their host and present a unique and entertaining concert, ‘The Beauty of the Hippopotamus’ by the Nicolai Chamber Choir and Varieté Velociped.

The Beauty of the Hippopotamus
Date: 7th November, 2012 (Wednesday)
Time: 2:30 pm – 3:30pm
Venue: St. Paul’s College, School Hall
Address: 69 Bonham Road, Pokfulam, Hong Kong, China
Programme: A 60-minute engaging repertoire of experimental
choral music, but always with the humorous aspect in focus.
* Free admission. Seats reservation is required.

This is a rare opportunity for Hong Kong people to have a taste of Swedish choral music and enjoy the performance by a professional experimental percussion group, thus the Department would like to invite your staff and students to come to the concert and enjoy the music with us.
