Good News from 10th Hong Kong Scouts

Assistant Group Scout Leader of the 10th Hong Kong Group awarded the Bronze Lion
Mr. Ho Chuen Yan Robert, Assistant Group Scout Leader of the 10th Hong Kong Group, was awarded the “Bronze Lion” at the Hong Kong Scout Rally, which was held at Hong Kong Stadium on 27 October 2024.

The Lion Awards are the highest honors granted by the Scout Association of Hong Kong to Scout leaders, recognizing their long-term service and outstanding contributions to the scouting movement.

Venture Scout Lai Shun Fai Max and Scout Au-Yeung Nicholas Selected as Scout of the Year
Venture Scout Lai Shun Fai Max (6B) and Scout Au-Yeung Nicholas (3F) were awarded the “Scout of the Year” at the same Hong Kong Scout Rally.

Max and Nicholas are the fifteenth and sixteenth “Scout of the Year” recipients from the 10th Hong Kong Group since the inception of the award in 1987. The Scout Group now holds the record for the highest number of Scout of the Year winners in Hong Kong. This title is given to scout members who exhibit exceptional service and success in their duties and obligations.

Six 10th Hong Kong Group Scouts Achieve the Highest Awards
The annual scout rally event also saw Lai Shun Fai Max (6B), Lai Shun Ming Mason (6B), and Wong Hon Ming Jason (5B) presented with the "Chief Scout's Award," the highest award of the Scout Sections.

Apart from earning Proficiency/Activity Badges for the Pathfinder, Scout Standard, and Advanced Scout Standard Awards, Max, Mason, and Jason have consistently displayed exceptional skills and knowledge in a variety of areas, including scoutcraft, adventure, culture, community, health, commitment, social services, and leadership.

They overcame all obstacles and achieved the highest honor after five years of unwavering devotion and steady work, unfazed by the pandemic's delays and hardships.

On the same occasion, Lam Pak Ting Bryan (1B), Lee Long Hei Klaus, and Cheung Kurtis Ka Him received the “Golden Bauhinia Award,” the highest award of the Cub Scout Section.

All 5 Sections of the Group Selected to Receive the Distinguished Group Award 2024
All five sections of the Group, namely the Rover Scout Crew, Venture Scout Unit, Scout Troop, Cub Scout Pack, and Grasshopper Scout Ring, have been selected to receive the Distinguished Group Award for 2024. They were commended at the Scout Rally.

Congratulations to Robert, Max, Nicholas, Mason, Jason, Bryan, Klaus, Kurtis, and the Scout Group on bringing honor to themselves and to the College.
