Form 6 Guidance Programme: Stepping Up and Moving On - Navigating Public Examinations

On 19 September 2024, the Guidance Team organized a programme for our Form 6 students to help them navigate the challenges of the year ahead while managing academic pressures.

Four distinguished alumni from Form 6 (2023-2024)—Vince Leung, Samuel Ko, Ethan Chan, and Vincent Tsang—led an engaging video-sharing segment. They provided valuable insights on managing anxiety, effective time management, and overcoming procrastination. Their discussion included practical strategies for tackling learning challenges, managing stress, and optimizing study habits. They emphasized the importance of starting revision early to combat procrastination.

Dr. Bernard Wong elaborated on recognizing symptoms of stress and used a shock ball to facilitate discussions on coping with high stress levels. He highlighted the negative impact of sleep deprivation on memory, behaviour, and mood, and provided tips for maintaining good sleep hygiene.

To conclude the session, Mr. Dennis Yuen, our Principal, shared encouraging words with all Form 6 students. He urged them to do their best and to trust that God has a plan for them, reminding them that life includes many uncontrollable factors.

Overall, the programme provided valuable insights and support as students prepare for their upcoming public examinations.
