SPC Smart Laboratory Design wins IET award at 2nd CAFEA Young Talent Forum

In an assembly last week, a group of Form 6 students, Lam Ho Yin Timothy (6C), Ngai Matthew Hon Hin (6C), Nip Sin Hang Brian (6E) and Chang Jeffrey Sin To (6F), presented their innovative ideas for a smart laboratory.

Their presentation was based on the award-winning article they submitted for the 2nd CAFEA Young Talent Forum. The forum was organized by CAFEA Smart City Limited, the Education Bureau, the University of Macau, and the China Science and Technology Exchange Centre.

Their article earned them the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) award. It details a smart laboratory that utilises smart technologies to ensure laboratory safety and enhance teaching and learning experience. It proposes a smart management system with facial recognition entry access control, and smart laboratory benches that could record real-time experimental data and receive online information.

The students were presented with the certificates by the Principal at the assembly. Congratulations to our tech-savvy school team!
