A 70-strong team of student 'lifesavers'

At SPC, we seek to expand our students’ life skill sets, which include: life-saving skills.

70 students from Forms 3 to 6 successfully completed the CPR-AED course on 15 Jun 2022. The course, accredited by the Resuscitation Council of Hong Kong, was organized by the Faculty of Medicine, CUHK.

The students were trained by a team of instructors consisting of medical staff from CUHK and 5 of our College staff. Earlier, 4 of our teachers and the janitor foreman had completed professional training from the American Heart Association and become Basic Life Support providers.

The 70-strong team of student lifesavers are now qualified and competent to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and operate an automated external defibrillator (AED) in case a cardiac emergency occurs on campus or in the community.

We are confident that the students will fulfil their new role as lifesavers and serve people in need with skill and care.
