Alumni Talk Series Chapter 10 - Lantau Tomorrow, Hong Kong Tomorrow

On Wednesday, 17th April, the 10th instalment of the Alumni Talk Series was organised in a Liberal Studies lesson to help F.5 students explore and think critically about the issues concerning the hotly debated “Lantau Tomorrow Vision” project. It was a great honour to have with us as guest speakers Mr Lau Sau Shing, Mr Tsang Yok Sing and Mr Cheung Chiu Hung - all prominent alumni active on the local political scene.

They expressed their views on the project and interacted with the students during the Q & A session. Bolin Sun and Warwick Chan, current and past chairmen of the Liberal Studies Society, served as the moderators for the talk.

The speakers directly addressed public concerns over issues including cost, land use, an ageing population, impacts on the environment and the housing problem. Their stimulating thoughts and insight engaged the students throughout, leaving them inspired and motivated to learn more about the subject.
